Who knows what is the deepest essence of a maple tree and who says is a birch always a birch? If a maple tree is a birch and a birch is a maple tree. A pine is a spruce and a spruce is a pine or a juniper. A rowan is a bird cherry and a willow is an apple tree. A bay willow is an elm, a brittle willow, a crack willow or something totally different. But all of them are trees.

A few words about ''agent'' Riikka Aresalo

Visual artist. Lives and works in Helsinki, Finland, observing the world.

I research and observe the world, a city, a town, it/s structures, phenomenons, hierarchy, visible and invisible, permanent and change. Individual walkers in the streets, pairs, groups, teams, communitys, mass. A crowd is a group of separate people, individuals. I research a human being and it/s acts, motives and I question. I wonder when I don/t know why and to try to investigate what it is all about. I penetrate in people/s every day living or an uninvited guest to a party. And I wish all the luck for the journey.
