Georgy Litichevsky – Hypothetical Dances / SMCA-Moni Lazariston

Georgy Litichevsky is a Russian artist who is pioneer in the comics tradition in Russia.

He is interested in the synthesis of image and word and he developed a personal style as he turned almost exclusively to the aesthetic of comics. Today is considered an important representative of comics in contemporary Russian art.

He has formed his own heroes like a personal version of "Pinocchio", Physicians and Lyricians, the psychopathic ants, Virus and Antivirus, the mutated Crocodile etc. and often uses personalities from different periods of Russian and international history who meet with each other and create imaginative stories.

Old and new works will be shown in the exhibition and the artist will work in residency for the creation of a big painting on textile.

A catalogue will be issued in Russian, English and Greek.
