Being aware of the rarity of the species and of the responsibility this brings, Archipelagos began to monitor populations of this rare species since 2009, combining field research with awareness raising efforts.
Phila Place is a project created by the Historical Society of Philadelphia that attempts to connect stories to places across time in Philadelphia’s various areas. Its aim is to intertwine stories of ordinary people of all backgrounds with historical records and present an full picture of the history, culture, and architecture of the city’s neighborhoods; this it does through various formats including text, pictures, audio and video clips, and podcasts so visitors can map their own stories in place and time.

dConstruct is an annual conference being held since 2005 in the first Friday of September. In the first years of its operation it was aimed at Internet professionals such as web developers and web designers; Over the years though, it evolved into an event that not only addresses web technology but also other areas such as design, society, and culture. In other words, the central theme of the event touches on more theoretical issues although a large proportion of the attendees still consists of web professionals (this is to be expected since in the specialized workshops the topics are exclusively technical)l.
